I have recently bought second hand Mamiya strap for my RB67. It fits OK, but... Those small metal end connectors just don't feel good. How should I say it... too flimsy? Not good enaugh to hold such heavy camera. So I have a question. Were there different version of end connectors. One for RB67, the other one for 645? Yes, I know that some members of 645 family do have different straps (at least that what some people told me). Or there was only one pattern for all medium SLR Mamiyas? Anyway that strap is noy very good. I'm thinking about using metal parts only with custom made leather strap.

The best are the original mamiya leather straps. Never had the ends fail. The wide belt is comfortable and sturdy.

The optec straps are pure crap! Those stupid plastic end locks never work properly or make it nearly impossible to remove after you've mashed m in to stay. Plastic spade buckles do let go n makes them dangerous. The nylon webbing is sharp and annoying around the neck just as the rubber nonslip pads prevent you from swinging your camera up without twisting your collar around.

The RB67 I got didn't come with a strap, I found that the Opitech strap is very nice. It has a nice wide pad for the back of the neck and the metal clips are very secure.

The Mamiya leather strap is very solid. Can't imagine it failing.

Interesting... I have almost bought one after reading all those messages how great op/tech straps are...
My strap is not leather, it's like that:

Metal clips fir perfectly but whole thing look ... fragile to me. So I was wondering if it's really RB67 strap and if it's safe to carry so large camera with it.

That looks like a sturdy strap with metal hardware. The plastic hardware optec uses is junk and their ends are cheap.

Mamiya old straps were wide leather straps with the same ends you have.

BTW you should flame the frayed ends.
