I have read, and re-read my owners manual and I'm still confused :whistling:

What does the T (time) setting do that the B setting doesn't do? I know on my Nikon's the T would trigger the shutter after a set amount of time, usually 15 seconds. The B setting allows you to manually keep the shutter open.

Thanks for your help :D

B stands for Bulb
T stands for Time
Press the shutter release on B and the shutter opens, release the shutter release and the shutter closes. Shutter stays open only as long as the release is held to the open position.
Press the shutter release on T and the shutter opens and stays open until 1. the shutter release is pressed again or 2. the shutter speed dial is turned to another setting.

Also, the B setting uses battery power, the T setting does not.

Thanks. That's good to know for LONG expose times. I can't help but think that, for the most part. Both settings ultimately do the same thing, ie. allowing the user to open and close the shutter at will.

On the RB and I believe the RZ as well, on "T" you fire the shutter and it opens and stays open until you re-cock the shutter with the side lever.

Better for really long exposures than B, due to battery drainabe on the RZ, a moot point on the RB, but ultimately the same result.
