Mamiya RB67 problem.

Just received a Mamiya RB67 pro-S.
Everything is great except that the lever to cock the shutter doesnt seem to advance quite far enough. It allmost seems that the focussing knob blocks the levers travel. Any advice would be appreciated.

Nevermind, I excercized it about 50 times and now it is working reliably. The mechanism which unlocks the shutter release must have been sticky.

Wow, the RB is huge. But I guess if I am going to use it mainly in the studio on a tripod it wont really matter. The controls are actually laid out really well which makes it very useable.

If you think it's huge now, try shooting a few weddings with an RB. It's probably the best way to build up your arms!

Yeah I was playing around with it today.. was using a wide neck strap and now my shoulders are sore.

I too have an RB67. I have yet to use it off the tripod. But I love the images!

Best on a tripod. Should be fun. I enjoy using my RB.

I can get very sharp negs at shutter speeds down to 1/4 sec. or so.

Dude. Do you have training in Olympic-level archery or sharpshooting?

I have a good, wide strap on my RB, and by putting some downward pressure on the body while balancing with upward pressure from my shoulders I can easily get steady shots at 1/8 sec. and oftentimes 1/4 sec. For me, the mass of the camera seems to help rather than hinder this operation.
