Mamiya focusing Hood P for Polaroid 600SE Question

I have had one of these lying around for years. I am going to sell it so someone can put it to use, but I want to make sure it works properly and I can’t figure out how to open the hood!

Any tips ? I can’t find a release on this thing..

I’m trying but it seems stuck like there is a latch hidden somewhere!

Edit - well I just tried again a little more aggressively and I did get it open - I guess it has never been opened in decades and was just tight.

Great, perhaps a drop of light oil on the pivot points will free it up.
