I have a Mamiya C220. On the viewing screen/groundglass, there are two marks etched in the glass. I'm wondering what they are for. Some sort of makeshift parallax correction?

Thanks

They are parallax adjustment marks.

They are discussed on page 16 of the camera's manual.

In case you don't have the manual, you can find one on Mike Butkus' site here: http://www.cameramanuals.org/mamiya_pdf/mamiya_c220-1.pdf

If you are going to use the download, I'd suggest a donation to Mr. Butkus' site.
