Mamiya 7 - cracked window in rangefinder

I have a chance to buy a Mamiya 7 at a very good price, but the window in the rangefinder is cracked. Is there anyone who can repair this (preferably in Canada)? Does Mamiya still sell parts? Does Mamiya even have a website? I can't find one.

I traveled to Greece and Turkey with a broken glass on my Fuji GSW and it worked fine. It's like a UV filter for the view finder. If it's the same thing, you might be able to just ignore the problem. You might might get an even better deal on it if you don't mind the crack.

As long as the focussing and metering are unaffected, go for it and live with the issue.
I would still look out for a 7ii though ...

An otherwise working well camera that has a flaw like this is a huge bargain and a treasure to use. You can get it at a good price ("Look at that crack!") but then use it with the confidence of a tool that has already been pre-dinged.

I have a Retina III-C that came with a crack on the internal mirror of the rangefinder -- the rangefinder still works fine, bu4e camera is otherwise fine, good deal, great user that I don't worry about bouncing around.

My Mamiya 7ii hasn't been the most sturdy camera so I would carefully inspect the camera for any other damage. Obviously, something caused the rangefinder to crack so it could have been dropped etc. Otherwise if it's a great deal and you can live with it go for it. Some of the best image quality I have ever irked from a camera has come off the Mamiya 7!

Try this

My daughter cracked one of the finder windows on her m3. As suggested by my expert repair man， just cover the cracked finder window with scotch book repair tape.This tape will not discolor or ooze. Ask you local librarian for a tiny piece to cover window. This will keep dust and humidity out of camera.
