Just want to know what you think of the below offer:

1. Mamiya 645 Pro body
2. Metered prism (not sure the model) its the one with the exposure comp. & another knob
3. Two backs
4. Power grip (the one with ON, OFF, START, BC settings)
5. Mamiya Sekor C 55mm f2.8 lens
6. Mamiya Sekor C 110mm f2.8 lens

Asked price $600, no shipping needed + i can check and verify the actual condition when the time comes. In regards to this (condition) obvious signs of use, seemingly nothing too extreme, i would give it a 7/10 based on the photos.

Have checked Ebay extensively and there are some good deals but the inability to actually check what you pay for is a big downside.

So, do you think its a good deal?

Being a recent buyer and owner of this exact but bigger kit like this, that is a good price, assuming all of this kit is in good, working shape.... a good price indeed. I love the 110mm f 2.8 lens for most my 645 work. I like a wider wide angle which I do have now, but for starters the 55 is great. Two backs is almost mandatory these days. I'd say check out the condition and if that's good or is repairable then go for it!

That power grip, WG401, is the one you want.

If it is all in good condition, six is a good price. I'd dangle five cash, to see if the seller will bite. But, you are not getting hurt at six.

Yes, dangling cash is always a good idea. At five he's going to come back with a counter offer. You'll probably end at about $550.
7/10 gives you some wiggle room to knock a couple of bucks off. The worst he can do is say "no, I'm firm"

And if it is the FE401 meter, that is the one that you want. Are you buying from a camera place? Is a warranty offered? You can buy from actual stores on eBay and get at least 30 days to return and a short warranty.

I agree about making a lower offer. FWIW - last year I got a pro TL, same prism, same winder, two backs, and the 80mm f/1.9 for less than $500.

I absolutely love mine.

The metering finder for the Super ("N") also works well on the 645 Pro.

I am not sure guys. The more I look at the pictures the more I think that all the kit has been through some rough times. I mean for heaven sake the numbers on the exposure comp. dial on the prism have been almost completely erased (from usage)! Similarly there is what looks to be a crack on one of the 2 backs (not sure though), many scratches all over the body, prism, grip etc.

The overall cosmetic condition is more like a 6-6,5/10 one depending on the piece examined. Perhaps it does indeed function as it should but this in only half the story. After all there might be "drops" etc. that i would never know about until the shutter stopped working...I can confirm that I am crazy over keeping my equipment clean/safe and in mint condition as possible but this seems to go beyond the "normal usage signs due to age" etc. After all yes, I can examine it before buying but one cannot examine every single functionality as explained in the manual unless I had it for a week which will not happen.

P.S. Have another option cheaper by 100$ with body+1back+80mm f2.8+55mm f2.8+prism+waist level finder but with the Multi exposure not working (could not care less) so compared to the above no grip, 1 back less and the multi exposure problem. Oh the this claims to be in mint condition, waiting for photos...

Pleeeeease help me out!

When in doubt, don't buy! An other opportunity will arise in due time. Be patient.
Can you download the the pictures of the set from the seller and upload here for us to see?

FWIW, I much prefer the hand crank to a power drive with these cameras.

The waist level finders are slightly frustrating (much more usable for landscape then portrait orientation) but they are also slightly rare.

Have you looked to see what KEH, etc have in stock? Maybe instead of buying a kit, you should assemble your own, starting with a body from a reputable seller that provides a warranty.

And I agree with theToadMen. I stalked mine for 6 months or so before buying.

Yeah no need to rush into a deal, definitely not if youre in doupt re the condition.
My 645 pro just broke the mirror rest thing. Thankfully my photopusher was able to get me another for next to nothing and replacement was a piece of cake.
Best regards
