Hello everyone,

I'm really enjoying the Mamiya Super 23. One lens that has escaped my grasp is the 100mm f/2.8; a supposedly quintessential lens - the kind you buy into the system for. One thing that has bugged me is that this lens is not collapsible. While I wouldn't use movements too often, I know its something I'd want. I've been offered a 100mm f/2.8 for a decent price and I know where I can get a broken 100mm f/3.5 elsewhere, to salvage for the helicoid. My question is, can the 2.8 be mounted in the collapsible 3.5's helicoid? My main two concerns are if the rear element will physically fit and if the rangefinder will be off. I don't mind shimming the lens up if that's what it takes, but if I need to play around with the actual rangefinder cam, I don't think I want to do that.

Your help would be much appreciated! P.S. On a side note, has anyone taken the 65mm f/6.3 down to f/4 by removing the limiter on the aperture arm? Are there any examples of this lens at f/4?
