Bob Shanebrook has done it again and even better. Yes, his book “Making Kodak Film” has been expanded from nearly 100 pages to over 450 pages with an accompanying increase in illustration of coating structures and equipment in a second edition. This book comes with a beautiful hard cover to protect this massive volume of information.

The information it contains is a masterful summary of the current status of film manufacture at Eastman Kodak, showing how film is made and how their superb quality is maintained.

I read a pre-release copy from cover to cover and was amazed at how much I didn’t know or that I had forgotten, about what went on behind the scenes of R&D and production.

For APUG members or any analog photography enthusiast, this is a must book. I’ll just bet Fuji and Ilford will be among the first purchasers.

In my opinion, Bob is the best and only person to write such a book.

Buy a copy. It is worth it at almost any price.

It is finally ready and you can get it now at www.makingKODAKfilm.com

Lucky you are! It seems that this second edition adds more Historical issues.

I'm sure it is worth reading for every film enthusiast and Photography lover (specially of Kodak), but without new mysteries for the latter you've mentioned.

...In my opinion, Bob is the best and only person to write such a book.

And in my opinion, I doubt that

Thank for sharing anyway!

getting excited, the tracking number indicates my copy has gone from Rochester all the way to New Jersey. (which seems to be a strange way for it to cross Lake Ontario but what do I know)

And it is Here! Must be te real thing, the padding in the package was made up of torn pages from "The Democrat and Chronicle".
