Where did you source the spill pans?
How large is the pan? More than 30x30?
Never even saw such kind of pans over here, but it might be something to consider.
I would have put the outlet as far into a corner as possible. And I would have tried to find a threaded stud that can be cemented to the pan, so that the outlet would be flush with the bottom.
The rather classic alternative is laying PVC foil on the ground and place 4 slats in square under it. But emptying would mean using a bellows or so pump added by a sponge.
That was my concern. A print could be scratched on the stem as you agitate it. Seems you have it all thought through.I need to trip the excess threaded stem for sure.
