Made some new trays for up to 30" prints

Much more affordable - made 3 of them for up to 30" prints using spill pans and a few PVC pipe parts:



Also finally hung the nuArc DBL1325 17x24 safelight - it was a challenge mounting it to the ceiling (difficult joist spacing) but it's now up and operational.

Nicely done, but I suspect a plastic valve might be a better choice to avoid corrosion and contamination -- brass can be pretty reactive.

...and lighter, I can just unscrew the valve part and replace it with a PVC one in a jif - good suggestion

Never even saw such kind of pans over here, but it might be something to consider.

I would have put the outlet as far into a corner as possible. And I would have tried to find a threaded stud that can be cemented to the pan, so that the outlet would be flush with the bottom.


The rather classic alternative is laying PVC foil on the ground and place 4 slats in square under it. But emptying would mean using a bellows or so pump added by a sponge.

28x32, but they do come larger and smaller - they are usually for washing machines and run anywhere from $16-$25.

Yah, I have a batter powered siphon stick as well - I need to trip the excess threaded stem for sure.

That was my concern. A print could be scratched on the stem as you agitate it. Seems you have it all thought through.
