In regards of the term "eco", I was more interested in the "ecological" side of it.

Then look at the Moersch range of chemistry. There are Separol and ECO 4812 developers for papers (both really excellent) and EFD (Eco film developer) available.

Moersch ECO 4812 deveoper contains 4 chemicals for that a hazard warning applies and that necessitate a hazard symbol at the packaging.

-) toxic (exclamation mark symbol)
-) toxic at all forms of contact or intake (body symbol)
-)eye irritating (exclamation mark symbol)

But yes, no environmental hazard to the regulations.

The issue however is that people likely associate being "ecologic" not harmful, with not being toxic to man.

There's also ADOX Neutol Eco

MSDS available here. Not sure I make a lot of sense from it. But seems to promise pretty much the same: "hydroquinone free"
