Thank you for sharing. I had some rolls in 135 with very good results, too. First time I see it in 120 now. I will buy it soon. The 120 confectioning seems to be perfect, no issues at all?

Not bad. I'd like to see scans where the grain isn't smoothed by the scanning software, though.

The Lucky C200 has fine grain. Even better than Kodak Gold 200. I was surprised when I developed my first roll in 135.

Anyway, in 120 grain is not such an issue, even with a coarse film like Harman Phoenix.

I can tell the grain is pretty fine. With the Noritsu's further smoothing not only do you lose some of texture from it, but you're reducing the resolution and detail by quite a lot. I just see it as a sort of weird middle ground where I have to ask why not just shoot digital if you are allergic to grain, but I realize many labs don't give you a choice on this.

There is a small chance that 120 film produced before 2026 may exhibit slight blue streaks. I’ve encountered this issue myself, which is why I only buy three or four rolls at a time. I haven’t purchased any this year yet; I’ve heard the problem has been resolved, but I haven’t bought any to test it myself. I saw a photo on social media taken on March 7 of this year that still showed severe blue streaks; the person used a Canon A1, so it was likely 135 film. My English isn’t great, so I used a translation tool and then edited it myself. Please bear with me.

You're the expert. Don't worry—the photos I uploaded were compressed using a non-professional method.

My 135 film I purchased at November 2025 in Germany had no defects at all. The only lowside were the missing frame numbers.

Did the Locky in 120 show frame numbers?

Yes, so I switched from Boat 135 to Boat 120.

I’ve actually never heard of that happening.

On our domestic forum, only one person is still uploading photos of Electrical division scanning.

I'm not sure what that means, something is getting lost in translation here, but that's okay.

You results are similar to the ones I got from 135 version of Lucky C200. Thanks for letting us know that 120 version is available as well. I just checked and indeed Reflx Labs is selling the 120 version. Will order two and try out.

They probably don’t have the equipment to make edge markings on film
