Hi there! I've used Rollei Low Contrast developer (RLC) before, which is said to be similar to one of the Spur Doku- developers (I don't remember which one), and here it is compared with Adotech IV:

The results are very similar if you take into consideration that the RLC shot was taken in harsher light conditions, on a different day. In both cases my meter was set to ISO 12. Adotech IV maybe gave a slight hint more latitude, but I'd only notice upon scrutinizing the images. RLC takes a bit of testing to nail dilution and time, whereas with Adox's made-for, optimized developer that work has been done for you already. In terms of cost, in Canada it was similar (AKA comes at a bit of a premium).

TL;DR Can't go wrong with Adotech IV if you want to make sure you waste the least possible amount of this incredible, but increasingly rare film. Hope this helps!

I have done extensive testing with CMS 20 II, and various developers, and I always came back to Adotech IV. The only developer that came close was POTA. I'm still a bit soured though, after doing all those tests, only to have Adox discontinue CMS 20 II... At least I got to shoot it in 4x5! That half box in the freezer is very special...

I’ve had good luck with H&W control with similar films (Imagelink HQ and TF-12d), so that might be an option
