Huss,

I will write to the company and let them know so they may investigate.

Thanks Howard. There are two issues - the starting paper is too short as it is for 120, and the film has handling marks/scratches.
The film itself is excellent. I love the results.

Is the leader too short, or is it simply a problem with the fact that the "Start" mark is at the wrong place for 220?
If it is the latter, I am sure there are people on Photrio who can tell you what the correct offset is for the 220 Start mark - - how much further past the 120 Start mark.

The start marks are for 120 film, it even says 120 on it. Not sure if the entire leader is of correct length. I have kept the leader and will compare to the next roll of 220 that I shoot from a different mfg.

@Huss @howardpan Very good results! I hope this comes to wider market.

I know you said the manufacturer are saying it's not an existing ORWO emulsion, but that tonality sure looks like N75. See attached (35mm, so grainier)

Ok so I shot regular 120 film through the Fuji with no marks on the negatives. So the Shanghai film unfortunately is defective.

Wondering if it was just this roll, or the entire batch. Guess I'll find out!

Any updates on the Shanghai film? I would like to try some 220 size. All the ePrey vendors of 220 Tri-X are charging more than I want to pay, and it is old stock of unknown storage conditions.

I'll have to shoot another roll. Been busy with other cameras!

Take good care of that cat. Ours only drags a mouse into the house once in a while. :D

Karl-Gustaf

But you can't eat film, save the mouses and make a good 'stew' for supper
