Hello,

in 2026, what are good options to source long roll film? 70mm perf'd or not, 65mm is acceptable as well. Black & White, and color.

The scalpers on eBay are out of their mind. It's not worth it for film stored in unknown conditions. Any reliable source at a reasonable price?

Thanks

New color film in 70mm is unfortunately extinct. I have thought about getting some 9.5” Aerocolor slit to 70mm, but it would be around $500 per 100 ft rolls so yeah I very much doubt that’s getting off the ground…

Best you can get now is 65mm vision3, although it is still quite pricy. There is a guy on eBay selling 65mm short ends, although they’re very long rolls and listings are auctions so price is not fixed. Mercury Works sells it in 100 ft rolls for $250.

I resell B&W 70mm non-perf finished by Astrum, price depends on the film but for FN-64/Foto-100 (Aviphot 80/200) it’s around $200 after shipping.

Hope that helps.

By the way, in Kodak’s new catalogs, Ektachrome 100D in 65mm is already listed.

I noticed that. And called Kodak, you need to have a verifiable motion picture project to buy, etc, etc. But it's great to see 65mm of 100D being produced.

It does help. I either hope Kodak will sell 65mm for still photography, or loosen their rules and allow respoolers. The current options are a bit pricy considering direct prices are $1600 for 1000'. that's my opinion, I get it, people want to pay for their time and make it worth... otherwise, what's the point?

Kodak could slit and perf 70mm in just about any emulsion that they make.

The minimum purchase requirement would be staggering, and it would probably come in enormous rolls.

70mm is kaput.
