I recently exposed my first roll of film on a used Linhof Super Rollex 56x72 back. This went quite smoothly (except that the spacing between the exposures was a little uneven, but that may have been me). However, now when I try to load the next roll of film, the indicator window won't advance, meaning I have no way of telling how much further I need to wind the film to get to the first exposure. (Because of this, I completely wound a fresh roll of film onto the empty spool, and am now trying to figure out how to get it back onto the other one in the dark.)
Looking at the manual again, I noticed that it says "The figure 0 automatically appears in the window of the automatic exposure counter" (after the film is completely wound back). I don't think mine ever did that, and currently looks like this: " | 10" (i.e. it has moved past exposure #10).

In addition to the manual I referred to this video to load the film. Am I doing something wrong?

Edit: Had to remove links because of newbie restrictions.

Paper manual http://www.cameramanuals.org/prof_pdf/linhof_super_rollex.pdf

To rewind the film onto the supply spool in total darkness hold both spools close to each other, insert the paper into the slot and start turning. When you get to the film position the end onto the supply spool from the take up spool with then very close to each other and continue turning until fully rewound. Using a gap between the spools will result in a shift in the film to paper relationship resulting in a bulge that has to be compensated for at the beginning.

With the film holder empty hold the take up spool while operating the advance lever. If the spool does not turn or slips the advance is malfunctioning. Manually turn the rollers and supply spool, did the frame window change?
Probably time to have it serviced.

Thanks a lot for your response.

The spool turns nicely as I operate the advance lever, but the frame window is stuck in that one position, no matter what I do. I'll try to return the device.

Your rewind technique worked nicely, however when I took the film out of the changing tent, I discovered that the paper was the wrong way around (black side outside). When I tried to fix that, the whole thing slipped between my fingers.
