I say unto you, take up thine camera and photograph!

Here here! With access to a website such as LFPF, I've found myself more involved with the "digital"(computer/internet) realm than with film-based photography.

Back to the field folks, load yer film holders, gas up the tank, and get shootin!

Wow, what am going to do with all the free time, oh that's right I just got a 120 boxes and two big rolls of bubble wrap, time to start packing. Got to be out of this apartment by the end of the month. Good news too, the new place has room in the garage for a darkroom. Happy days are coming soon.

Roger, where will you store your car, in the bathroom?

Roger, I can see by your avitar that you have good tastes. I wish that the 1919 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" RB Auto Graflex I bought had not been a shelf queen. I replaced it with 4"x5" Graflex Model D and Pacemaker Speed Graphic. I have 90mm and 135mm lenses for the later and 7.5", 12" and 15" for the former. Now where will I find good soft focus barrel lenses with the LFF Forum down?? Please Advise!

From the message that is shown attempting to access the .info website, the server has been damaged after being subjected to a fall of about 3 feet by something the maintenance crew did. Another has been ordered, but is not expected to be up and running until sometime on the 9th, at the soonest.

Well, that explains it! I guess I'll just have to wait!

Dang, I had just listed a CC Harrison 6 inch Petzval on the Buy/Sell for $450. Now I'll never be able to sell it.

If it will work on a Graphic I am in, but ... I can't afford $450US. Maybe $90US with shipping?

Not sure, but definitely not in the the garage, bath might be tough since it's on the second floor. :D

Glad you like the avitar. Yes my Graflex is also a shelf queen, at least till I'm moved and probably till I build my new darkroom. I actually have the camera ready to go including 5 film holders loaded. Just don't want to start shooting with it till I can process the film.

This sort of thing will happen a lot in the future... rolling blackouts... earthquakes etc will take parts of the internet down for minutes, days, or forever. I predict different aspects of the internet will be like old weed-eaten cemeteries, organizations will fail, people will die and server space isn't free at least yet.

You know for we pay to be members of LFPF you would think they could get the site back up a little quicker.

I used the term 'shelf queen' to mean that it was not reliable enough to use. A camera sitting on the shelf because you do not have enough time, means that you have to have a 'discussion' with your spouse about your need to adjust the priorities. <<nudge, nudge, wink, wink>>

Or the maintenance crew could just be more careful

Jim Galli always seems to have something available. I think he breeds them in his barn.

I try not to have too many shelf queens, or, as my late wife called them, "dustables". I do have three 3x4 graflexes, one is a basket case, one needs for me to finish the viewing hood, and one I use somewhat. I have a Pacemaker 4x5 Speed with an Aero-Ektar on board. It has been luring me with its charms of late. Having fun with 3x4 Fujiroid B&W.

Where i can find Aero-Ektar lens with board only? I have the body, anyone would like to sell it please let me know.

One thing I know, someone called me 2 days ago offered to host it temporary while the website is down and also want to buy out the LFF . I told him that wasn't me who own it. Seriously!
