You know for we pay to be members of LFPF you would think they could get the site back up a little quicker.

The Large Format Photography server is temporarily offline
Alas, a maintenance crew knocked our server onto the ground from a height of about 3 feet, and it was badly damaged. A new server has been ordered for rush delivery, but it is unlikely to be installed and configured until 9 July 2011 at the soonest. This is an emergency page on another server; we will keep this information up to date as we know more.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding
Update 10 July 2011: we have the new server and it is mostly configured. It is sitting on Brian Reid's workbench in Palo Alto, California. We are testing it under a different URL. Once we are convinced that it works well enough, we will drive it to the data center in Redwood City and install it and we will be back on the air.
The replacement server is capable of being bolted to the rack in the data center so that it can't fall and break. The old server was too heavy to be supported by rack bolts.
Is there a higher body count on Apug since LFPF went down, got to be.
Please tell us who it was that made the purchase offer!
It seems not to be accessible at the moment via Firefox on my Win7 laptop.
Hey, everybody!
