If anyone has a parts enlarger, I'm looking to get 2 of the thumbscrews that hold the lift arms to the lamphouse.

P.S. Also looking for 2 balance springs for the same enlarger...

I have this and it does not fit any of my Omega D5500 lamphouses, as they don't use the lift mechanism. I only have the one.

  • Reason: Wrong end of enlarger :)
Ace hardware in the US carries a variety of them.

McMaster-Carr is my go-to company
Unfortunately, McMasterCarr doesn't ship to Canadians unless they are an existing industrial customer of theirs. One of my earlier jobs, I used to order from them all the time, now I don't have an easy access to their stuff... sad.

Certainly KHB does have them in stock and the shipping isn't too bad, as I'm in the same province. Just thought I would put out a request here first to see what I might be able to dig up.

I have a spare of the part that looks like it but is flush, to hold condenser ring to lamphouse. It doesn’t have the ledge to stay loose. A washer could go on it, or it could be turned or filed to have a lip… so it may ā€˜work’.

Don't need the lift springs anymore, as I decided to rebuild the ones I had. They had two issues, the end clips had broken off, and the springs were very gummy with old oil. I decided that I had nothing to lose (other than a finger maybe!) with the old ones as they were already broken.

So I disassembled them and cleaned the springs with lighter fluid. Reassembled them and re-installed onto the enlarger.
