Folks,

My suggestion is for the following people that requested to be part of the First Camera's Trip, send a Private Message (PM) to Nicole with your real name and full mailing address. Nicole can then make a new route and include it with the camera.

New people to be added after Nicole:
  1. HeliH
  2. Black Dog
  3. FilmSprocket
  4. eskyone
  5. mexipike
  6. sensanjay <--Sanjay will be the last one on the new route as he volunteered to process the film and post the pics on APUG.
That's 6 new people which maxes out the number of frames left on the camera, so that's it folks! No more sign ups.

Nicole might need to re-arrange the route to be more efficient. It might take her a while to do this, so give her a bit of time.

Regards, Art.

BTW, where's Gary? He was last seen here in February (2007)...

(PS: Gary, as in the person who started all this.)

Oh oh, I now see George also volunteered to be the last person. Goes to show how much I read George's posts, eh? :D Just kidding George. Really, I'm not ignoring you. Really.

Oiy ...

Sorry George, I honestly didn't mean to leave you out. How about this: When Sanjay gets the camera, if there's a frame left, he'll send it to you and you'll have the honours of processing and posting to the gallery. How's that?

BTW, who's the guy in the other thread that wanted to organize this thing for Round 5? Tim, you sure you know what you're geting yourself into? This is your last chance to run screaming from the room!

Regards, Art.

I know this camera has many miles to travel yet (Australia, Finland, UK, USA,...) but I was just wonderin',...... like, you know, .....where is it? Not trying to add pressure, just curious.

On the bright side, if it ever does complete it's journey and the shots are printed, there will be some great examples of 20th century life to show for it:D

have any of these travelling cameras returned home yet?

You've got to look upon them like the Martian Rovers - they keep traveling along taking photos - but getting home again may not be in the cards!

ah...good

exploring planet Earth might be a good thing

I was thinking about sending one of my homemade cameras off into the void just to see what happens to it....the camera might even come back in better shape -- I can imagine someone opening up the box and saying "what kind of shutter is THAT?" ...and then improving it

who knows...I might get a Leica back in the mail

At least with the Martian Rovers, we get to see photographs.

On the other hand, I hope all is well with the person (I think it's Nicole in Australia) who currently has the camera. It's been a while since her last post.

Yep, two (or is it three?) of them have made it to the end, but I am yet to see any of the photos I took on any of those cameras - they somehow get double exposed, skipped, or turned into something (there was a url link here which no longer exists).

OMG Art, I'm so sorry!! With all the mad rush leading up to Christmas the camera was totally overlooked. Will get it out this week. Ooops!!
Got word from Nicole that she's sorry for forgetting about the camera and she'll be sending it off this week. Hmmm ... I forgot to ask her to whom though ... Nicole?

I know I PM'd her with my mailing address, as I'm sure others did, too. I was unofficially(?) third on the latest list:

1. HeliH
2. Black Dog
3. FilmSprocket
4. eskyone
5. mexipike
6. sensanjay

And I think George rounds this list out.

Anyway, way to go Art,.... and thanks Nicole. If I (we) need to re-PM with shipping info, I'm happy to do it.

I wasn't on the original list. Heck, this baby started off in life before I joined APUG!

But if there is room left on the roll and you need a "closer" to come out of the bullpen - I'm warmed-up and ready (and promise that I'm not taking steroids or HGH - note: perhaps only the North Americans will understand this paranthetical!).

OMG I can't believe I missed this and am so due for a slap on the wrist. Art - you will have that chance at Foto-3!!!!! :surprised:
The camera went out today with the Instant Print Exchange to Black Dog. I've included a small list with details for HeliH, Sanjey Sen, FilmSprocket and eskyone. There may be room for more in case I missed anyone.
