35mm has the advantage that that virtually anyone set up to handle film, can handle this format. It's the common denominator.

That's true.

I will let this go until the end of next week and then mail out all the negatives. So, everyone who signed up for a negative, if you have not sent me your address, please do so.

How do I give an email address for a negative scan?

If I've counted right, there should be at least one negative left???

If so PLEASE count me in and I'll PM you.

But if I've missed it, I'll still look forward to see the end results from everyone!

!!! OK, I've just seen post #36... I've obviously missed counted.... Hopefully next time then....

I will probably be loading envelopes and sending them on their merry way today or tomorrow. So this is the last call for someone who wants to claim the last available negative. If anyone wants to work with a scan, they can opt in any time before results start coming in.

I'd like it if people indicated they received the negative. We want to give the majority of people a chance to print/edit/whatever the photo before anyone posts results anywhere. Some of these envelopes have to travel pretty far, so I doubt we can post results until October.

Great projekt! I don't have the time for the darkroom print in the next months but look forward to participating if this is done again in the future, and to seeing all the results here! Maybe I'd spontaneously like to have a go at the digital file if that's alright, can it be simply made available for download somewhere?

@koraks will scan the negative I sent him and will make it available. He'll undoubtedly detail how everyone should get it. You can be added to list for the scan even if you decide to not do it.

@Don_ih Out of curiosity, can you give us some details about the negative, i.e., film and developer used?

Alex, I didn't want to give anyone too much information prior to receiving the actual negative, in case that influenced their expectations. I have all that outlined in the note I am including.

A quality that may exceed what's available in the negative

Don, some of us (me, at least), are like kids Chistmas Eve wanting to shake, poke & mangle the wrapped presents, trying to guess the contents.

You've let a few things drop, just enough to keep up the anticipation. Trying to be patient here, but the wrapping on that present's intruiging!

And yes, I'll let you know when the negative arrives.

Same! I'm not home where I can print right now, but looking forward to seeing results and hope this catches on. There have been a few traveling cameras and "let's all print one negative" before and it's neat to see what everyone does.

There have been a few traveling cameras

Which sounds like a fun thing to do, but shipping is so expensive and sometimes problematic, I doubt it'll happen again. It might go well restricted to a country.

The traveling camera games all too often end in a missing camera and no processed film. Due to its serial nature, it's an inherently vulnerable concept. One of the many things I like about this exercise and how @Don_ih set it up for us, it's pretty much guaranteed to work.

It'll be at least another day before I get the negatives mailed, folks. Stay tuned.
