Yeah, I figured that I wouldn't be able to find much info on the original hood. However, pictures of the original hood appear that it is somewhat short, and perhaps even a 1/3-1/4 shorter than the newer standard one that you added a link for, but I may be mistaken. However, as you mentioned, it's worth to try for the price.

Even cheaper just in case you did not look any further. If it does not fit you can use it for cutting doughnuts.

This one might be ok for not obstructing rangefinder, but it is wider diameter although less so than the one you showed a while back.
