Hi Everyone,
My photographic journey has now brought me back to film where I started as a kid. My Dad had a B&W darkroom at home and I spent many an hour in there processing films. The magic of seeing your creation appear in the tanks under a red light has obviously never left me. I bought a Mamiya 7II which I love to bits (after selling a D300). The other day a local Nikon F75 came up and cost me 90 bucks with a 28-100mm lens. Almost never used. I thought well I can use all my existing lenses and flashes etc etc. Lets grab that. The lady that sold it put a film and battery in it (not in that order) and with that first first roll of Reala I've already taken a gorgeous image of HK that not many people have ever seen and one of my favourite pictures of 2008. What is it about film that's just so gorgeous, over 100 years of experience I guess!!

Would definitely hook up with other lovers of the organic, chemical wizardry based in HK or China!!

Welcome to APUG!

Hi there Paul.

Welcome from the Canadian prairies (-22c today!)

I've been to HK, and love the place

Hi Paul from London UK....

I have always wanted to travel to HK... had a penfriend there for 11 yr until we lost touch...

Anyway... welcome APUG - land !!

Welcome from Western Canada, Paul. Lovely photograph, stick some more in the gallery!

When I think of Hong Kong the first image that comes to mind is landing at the Kai Tac airport. The new one is better, but doesn't give me the adrenalin rush the old one did!

Welcome to APUG from Sydney Australia, Paul. HK has the most photogenic street markets I have ever seen. I'd love to visit again one day.

Paul - welcome to APUG from western Massachusetts USA.

Hi Paul, I spent some time there one Christmas in '72, went everywhere, Aberdeen floating restaurant, the Peak, New Territories, Kowloon, on the water and down town, stayed at the HK Hilton, wanted to stay at the Mandarin but it wasn't possible at the time. I miss the food most. Got some nice cloths tailored too. One memory of Hong Kong, busy.

Welcome,
Curt

你好 from the very Ma On Shan where I have been living for the last year. Good to see some other hongkongers around!

And by the way, nice picture. Blue skies are so rare here (says while looking through the window)
