You mean tomorrow?

It is running on donated hosting. The tech guys will be on holiday until the new year starts. Except for the on call staff ($$).

It would be great if they could use free Letsencrypt certificates using an automated process. These certs are valid for only three months. But a script job could renew it, automatically, every two months.

Even easier, is put Cloudflare in front of it. Cloudflare proxies and provides the cert for free.

Still running, just a little harder to get into. They are working on renewing their certificate. Right now I am able to access the site with my iPad in private mode.

I wish they'd hurry up and get it back on-line. I need a fix.

I'd have thought if the owners considered it valuable there would be more than one person with access. Seems a fairly simple concept: 'hit by a bus' insurance.
All that aside -- what doesn't Photrio Large Format fail to provide? Certainly you can discuss center filters, loading film holders, diluting developers elsewhere.
Maybe the buy/sell forum. That can't be seen by outsiders

Just now found it's back on my iMac with Safari, "High Sierra" operating system, the most recent one my aging iMac can use.

LF Forum is about long time social connections as anything. I've been on it for over a decade. There are a number of people on it that love 19th C. lenses like I do.

+1 its more specialised in large format camera's and everything that goes with it - especially if you like to go or are more into the 19th century stuff as well - much more specific broken down forum topics
Here on Photrio my experience is that there is only a relatively small community interested in those topics

I'd estimate quite a large overlap of members.
about 30 in this thread checking on the LFF fate.
while the LFF was down, open only to bots and those who could use incognito, there were a handful of people even though viewcounts ran 70 and up.
perhaps you folks have had better experiences because they were smaller, more visible ones.
anyhow, none of that is meant to persuade nor dissuade you from anyplace or everyplace. inertia and path dependency make the casual the usual.

[and I'm out. glad your group has regained footprint on the net]

As it (LFPF) is back up, I'll close this thread!
