I don't see the answer in the manual, and I don't have a MM caliper with me. It looks like 34mm by converting my inch measurement to millimeters. Can anyone confirn 34mm?

My pleasure. If you are looking for Konica accessories, look for Konifilter & Konihood (The size of the push-on cap/hood is 36.5mm I believe).

I use B+W filters 35.5mm and a nice rectangular metal lens hood by Ihaggee (screw-in 35.5mm).
I also have a B+W push-on hood and a push-on cap by Heliopan (not in the photo) - both have 37mm.

Beautiful camera, I just these types of rangefinders.
Am I alone who think that square/rectangular hoods look better?

macfred - That's a beautiful rig! I did start looking for these accessories and (gulped) a bit when I say a lens cap for $40! I didn't however know the terms Konifilter and Konihood. Thanks! I will get to searching!

A great camera to use, the cocking system is a delight, shutter release is sweet, large rangefinder window & bright, incredible lens. What's not to love? Original KONIHOOD and its leather case with a 35.5 mm filter on the lens.

I am the "custodian" of a Konica IIIa - camera in Excellent + condition, ever ready case pretty rough! Check with Tim at filterfind.net. He has an excellent assortment of filters, hoods, etc, and the chops to find stuff. Example: I have a Zeiss Icon Contessa, the lovely folder. Its 2.8 Tessar has external threads for filters! Tim found a Series adapter, plus a nice little case for the adapter and a few filters!
