As a note, it seems like Ektachrome now also is available in 16mm:

In the US it's 13 USD before sales taxes. I don't think it's going to get cheaper.Sorry for the blunt question, but do you know where I can find it for a relatively affordable price in the UK? Here it sells for at least £14....I want to try it.

135-36 no 16mm yet. Sorry for the confusion.are we talking about the 35mm slide film (36 exposures) or the 16mm by 100 FT rolls?
The catalog lists 16mm perf. B at 60 USD for 100 feet, 240 USD for 400 feet. This is an introductory price buying direct from Kodak. Availability May 9 2019are we talking about the 35mm slide film (36 exposures) or the 16mm by 100 FT rolls?
7Day shop on eBay has it for £12.99 a roll, so I bought 4!Sorry for the blunt question, but do you know where I can find it for a relatively affordable price in the UK? Here it sells for at least £14....I want to try it.

Any updates for release in 120?
Awesome news, i really need to find a nice 16MM camera, shame there is no way to record sound onto the film.As a note, it seems like Ektachrome now also is available in 16mm:

Since they still produce 120 C41 films , I wouldnt see the backing paper as an issue.Back in late 2018 the information I had was that they were hoping for some initial availability about now, but given their experience with the 120 backing paper problems they weren't going to hurry anything.
You will recall that the backing paper problems revealed themselves when they closed down their capacity to produce their own backing paper, ran out of the Kodak manufactured backing paper and then had to source new backing paper from third parties. They put that new paper into distribution without waiting for a sufficient time to ensure that unexpected problems didn't arise over time.Since they still produce 120 C41 films , I wouldnt see the backing paper as an issue.

In case you want to skip the tube amp...

But sound quality should be limited "a little" in comparison to a tube amp...

They didn't do that for long enough when the backing paper was changed, and they and their customers suffered. They don't want to repeat that with Ektachrome.
PE,Matt, they did allow enough time. It was the bizarre series of keeping events and the spotty nature of this problem that caused the problem.
PE
Write up probably should say 16 to24 FRAMES a second. 40 frames to the foot in 16mm.
Well since they have rectified the issue with the paper on their other films, I would assume it should be fine with Ektachrome too?You will recall that the backing paper problems revealed themselves when they closed down their capacity to produce their own backing paper, ran out of the Kodak manufactured backing paper and then had to source new backing paper from third parties.
