Only 2 bricks??? Hmmm. The local camera shop near where I live here in Toronto got 2 bricks of the new Ektachrome E100 and sold one brick almost immediately after receiving it. When I inquired about the price of a single roll I nearly fainted. $22.00 CDN. I hope this isn't going to be the regular price. I know slide film is a very niche market but,in my opinion, this is ridiculous. Needless to say I won't be purchasing this film anytime soon.

Ektachrome is with smaler grain. Compare both films and you will find out.If it's anything like the previous Ektachrome I'll try a roll but I'll probably stick to Fuji Provia 100F because the new Ektachrome is about the same price and I really like Provia.
My order of 35mm has not shipped yet, but my Super 8 arrived over a week ago. I was actually hoping it would be the other way around as I've not developed a test-roll of Tri-X Super 8 so am not ready to experiment with that format yet (I do have the Lomo tank)
As MattKing pointed out, I got the Super 8 from Kodak itself. I ordered it off their website. I'm not sure if they're shipping outside the U.S. yet, and it appears to be on back-order already:Wow, where did you get your Ektachrome Super 8 from? I've been waiting and waiting for that in the UK, but no luck yet...
That’s inefficient. EK supposedly has one customer only for still film. All 35mm film should go directly to KA, if they have a stand alone warehouse, or be drop shipped directly to 3d parties on KA’s behalf. There is no need for KA to actually take possession of the film.Note that Eastman Kodak distribute the Super 8, whereas 35mm will have gone from Eastman Kodak to Kodak Alaris and then through one or more 3rd party distributors.
There's scanned results on the large format forum. Xpan. The new Ektachrome looks beautiful.anyone got their hands on any of this yet?
Does any lab still process E6 movie film??As MattKing pointed out, I got the Super 8 from Kodak itself. I ordered it off their website. I'm not sure if they're shipping outside the U.S. yet, and it appears to be on back-order already:

I think in the EU right now only the Super8 Reversal Lab in the Netherlands, I don't know if Andec plans to restart their e6 line.
BTW is there any source for Super 8 ektachrome on this side of the ocean?
In the UK, you can use GaugeFilm www.gaugefilm.co.uk Film is processed in time slots, though, so you need to be canny about when you send your carts off, if you need it back in a hurry. Great results, though, and good prices.I think in the EU right now only the Super8 Reversal Lab in the Netherlands, I don't know if Andec plans to restart their e6 line.

Can you send me a link? There's scanned results on the large format forum. Xpan. The new Ektachrome looks beautiful.
I am knowing such problem in concern of 6x6 mounts. But there it is going about the general (long term) avaibility. The avaibility of 35mm slide mounts in general no problem at all. From different manufacturers. But this special 35 mounts for automatic mounting are not avaible on the long term.I received an e-mail this morning from thedarkroom.com stating that they can no longer mount 35mm slides due to a shortage of mounts. They hope to restart mounting when mounts are available. I am hoping this is just a case of poor planning or back luck, but if this is an industry-wide problem, this will make E-6 much less attractive to me and others and may hurt E-6 sales.
I think your PS is all that was needed.
I read between the lines and deduced that it is no longer convenient or profitable for them to mount slides... for whatever reason. I completely understand. Other labs made similar announcement about 15 years ago.
