Yes, it's disturbing to see kids operating these curtain coaters. And how will they manage 15 to 20 layers if they're operated by kids? Child labor is not only unethical, it is also risky.
I hear the most complaints about child labor from women for some reason.

Was thinking the same. Didn't they say they expected release to be at the end of Q2?Another month with no announcement.
Just have a look at Ferrania - so you will have a precedent.( Ferrania anounced a new E6 film on basis of the well known Ferraniachrome technology, came behind scedule, and presented a bw film as and interims stage) ....hope we will see a new "chrome 100" in the future? When they announced it, they said Q4 2017.
I think it will come, how long it stays is another question.Really hope it happens. Kodak (Eastman and Alaris) seem to view film as long term product. Not sure if this old news, but my local lab has had product codes through for ordering Ektachrome (but no price point yet). They seem to think August/September for what it's worth. My other local lab has started listing it on their website*, again no price point yet.
* - Edit - Who now have said they processed a 5ft length of Ektachrome with a Kodak rep in attendance this week. I've gone from pessimistic to believing it'll come when they're ready
No.i read somewhere they are reintroducing kodachrome soon can't remember where i saw it,
is it true ?
no not there i can't remember where i saw it. there was a lot of yadda yadda but in the endNo.
You probably read it here:

If the Ektachrome goes well, I wouldn't be surprised if Kodak would "bring back" Kodachrome. It could be a E-6 emulsion somewhere between Provia and Velvia. Who knows. I just hope someone makes good 120 and 35mm reversal film.No.

Ah true, but that's the way Marketing folks work. All the hope for film lies in young people adopting analog. Kodachrome is a brand too valuable not to use. The kids don't care if it's E-6 or K-14.No, that's not the way Kodachrome works.
Then in my mind for that matter they are unlikely to care whether it's Ektachrome or Kodachrome either, so long as it's film. The kids don't care if it's E-6 or K-14.
Come on. Kodak comes out with Kodachrome magazine dedicated to analog hipsters. All the kids I know shoot Tri-X, it's great film, but Tmax films blow me away. They shoot Tri-X because that's what is old school, Bob Dillion analog vinyl cool. And it is.Then in my mind for that matter they are unlikely to care whether it's Ektachrome or Kodachrome either, so long as it's film.
