Is there anything you don't spoil?
I’m glad that they are optimistic.Kodak Alaris just gave a new statement:
"No date yet, but we're optimistic that Ektachrome will be available in the first half of this year."
Question: Will this new product or service be immediately (or nearly so) available? Or will it be like Ektachrome, never closer than 6 mo away?
My guess. I bet that EKCo is in negotiations with Alaris. I wonder if Kodak wan'ts a "take or pay" contract?. Guaranteed volume. I suspect that EKCo. could run Ektachrome for a week and have enough to last 3 years. Still I try to be optimistic. Maybe it will all work out.Kodak Alaris just gave a new statement:

The new Ektachrome is listed in the 2018 Firstcall Photographic catalogue...if that means anything!

I assume the 8,99 quid price is for a single film, right? May I also assume that Precisa CT100 costs the same from them? If so, it would be very competitively priced and obviously tempting. The new Ektachrome is listed in the 2018 Firstcall Photographic catalogue...if that means anything!

Yes that would be a real danger - but let us set Kodak a bit under pressure OK ?I assume the 8,99 quid price is for a single film, right? May I also assume that Precisa CT100 costs the same from them? If so, it would be very competitively priced and obviously tempting.
A box of 50 ADOX MCP310 paper in 24x30 (cm)...
During the last darkroom session (after a longer break) I was a little rusty and wasted a lot of paper by not closing the aperture, not putting the filters in, using very old developer, expose the wrong side of the paper and combinations of these...
Oh well, but its so nice to finally get a print that I like and can put on the wall!
how much is 8,99 poud in USD again Fuji Love ?
with regards
PS : From now on your nicname should be Sherlock !

I assume Precisa CT 100 ( I have lots of it ) will be discontinued next. Now I realy understand Fujis decision to go away from E6 in the midt time range ( 2019 ) because Kodak informed Fuji about pricing of own projected films ?
.... I would agree with Fuji - no chance with own sellings if Kodak is back....

These are test strips sent to the labs to test processing, not a consumer product.Interesting. Two rather obvious comments:
1. "later this year". So what happened to 2018Q1... I guess release is pushed back again.
2. "notches". I didn't know 35mm film had or needed notches to identify the emulsion side. (I also didn't know that the processor machines cared which side was up or down but I admit to having little knowledge of those machines).
3. "metal can". Are metal cans coming back too?
Well, when you only have six people working for your company (Ferrania), I guess something has to give. The approach is more professional than the approach of Film Ferrania who is relying on enthusiasts developing film in their kitchens to determine best practices for processing.
Yes and no. A approach to involve future customers into a product introduction can strengthen bonds. But it also can backlash if not well-done.The approach is more professional than the approach of Film Ferrania who is relying on enthusiasts developing film in their kitchens to determine best practices for processing.
Ha ha ha. How right you are!Yes. (At least this is more promising than a cardboard box shown on a tradefair.)
