I'm pretty sure this is an almost impossible find but does anyone have any idea where I might find a spare back for a 1944 Kodak Medalist I? The plain old back with the red window is what I'm interested in; I've come into possession of a '44 Medalist I which only has the GG back and a couple extra extensions. Not what I had in mind for using this well-respected old guy. I've already emailed Ken Ruth at Bald Mountain...no answer yet, so I'll probably ring him directly tomorrow.

The term SOL keeps going thru my mind. Thanks in advance.

Kenny

Yeah, thanks, that's already occurred to me. There are several for sale now; maybe a real 'shelf queen' will become available for cheap.

Maybe Ken Ruth, the Medalist specialist would have one.

Good news! Herr Manfred Schmidt in Chicago had a back for my Medalist I. It wasn't cheap but I was worried I couldn't find one and now I'm in business. :D
