seems Kodak is having trouble getting Plain steel with lacquer to make end caps for 35mm cartridges, so they are using end caps made from Tin Plate. they say that their are no photographic effects - although I always thought tin was a no-no near film. Anyway, the next roll you buy may come in a collectable cartridge...
