Welcome to Photrio.
You need to re-size your photos to something like 1000 pixels on the long side. They should then upload easily.
The Ektalure paper may be of interest to some here. If you were local, I would be happy to get it from you.

Sorry for reviving this old thread, but I thought it would be better than starting a new one for this simple question.

I saw some photos a long time ago, before I got into darkroom printing, and I was told they were printed on Kodak Ektalure, so I made a note of it. Now that I’m printing my own work on Ilford FB WT papers, I went back to those notes and started wondering if there’s anything available today that can replicate the look of Ektalure, or if toning is our only option now. Is it worth trying expired paper from that time?

Foma Fomatone is marvelous paper. Ektalure had several surfaces that are gone for good. One contrast grade.

The Ektalure is likely fogged.
I sold a roll of old Ektalure to a Lith printer who put it to good use; I suggest you do the same.
Ektalure is a lith printers wet dream and in the right hands produces stunning prints.
With a mere 25 sheets you will hardly know the paper before it is all gone.
Make yourself a hero and a lith printers best friend!

I love Ektalure, but I’ve never had the chance to try it. I’ve been checking regularly on eBay for the past six months, but no luck so far. Has anyone seen Ektalure for sale recently? It would be a great paper for lith these days.

This is a flashback. I went to a photography school in the 1970s and we were required to use Ektalure K. I used it for a few years and never considered it anything but neutral tone. Then I tried a box of (the old) Portriga Rapid when it was still current and never used Ektalure again. The Portriga seemed to me to have a brownish tone while the Extalure had a greenish tone. You had to selenium tone Ektalure to get rid of the green.

Did you try developing Ektalure in Selectol? I did and got nice brown tones-no green. With Dektol, there may have been a hint of green.

I did a search here for Ektalure, I see lots about it, but nothing about contrast. It was mentioned that it only came in one grade, what would that be? I was gifted a partly used package of 8x10, so what sort of negative is suitable for use with it?

If my reading of the curves in the tech sheet is correct ( Highly unlikely!) it seems like it is suited to high contrast negatives?
The contrast grade of Ektalure was about 3.
