It's interesting. The page you linked is a store-front for the Kodak chemicals, but nothing is in stock yet - there aren't even any listed under colour negative or colour slide. But the parent site has a list of products (not Kodak branded) and prices that are not under a "store front" - as in, you can't add them to a cart and check out online. So it kinda looks like, once these Kodak chemicals start to be manufactured, you'll be able to buy them directly from that place (which seems like it will do the manufacturing). They have reasonable prices on the things they are currently selling. See here - thinks like 1 litre E6 kits for $42.

It seems like Kodak chemistry for B/W, color negative, and color slide films will be available again soon. Hopefully they will be offered in sized convenient for hobbyist use!

Interestingly the ‘about us’ in that link, states the reintroduction of the kodak chemistry is a partnership between photosystems inc. and cinestill.

That appears to relate to Cinestill being responsible for:
"CineStill is lending a hand in branding, marketing, and distribution, and is committed to supporting the photography community through customer support, community engagement, education, distinctive brand awareness and delivering consistent availability throughout the market."
In short - Cinestill will be doing distribution - akin to what Kodak Alaris does for Kodak film.

It does seem like CineStill will be in charge of distribution. When I tried to make an account on the page I linked, I was sent a verification code the moment I typed my email address in. Looking at the order history on my account page, I can see the records of purchases I made from the CineStill website over the past few years.

I was at my local camera store the other day, and it looks like most things are restocked, such as d76, xtol, dektol, fix, etc. most have the photo systems manufactured in USA labels now.

I wonder if the HC-110 has returned to the original, thick formula rather than the more watery formula from 2019+.

Unlikely - I don't think that Photosys have that manufacturing capability, and they have already indicated somewhere that it is the version they have been contract manufacturing for first Kodak Alaris and then Sino Promise since 2019.

That's too bad. I wonder if the 'new' formula has the same longevity once opened that the original had.

short answer, NO.

If there is air left in the bottle you should throw it away in a week at the most. You have to store it in opaque bottles without air, I still have about 500 cc, in bottles without air, since december 2020.

I just placed an order for XTOL and D-76, maybe our prayers have finally been answered

I placed an order for a package of Xtol and a few other things. This will be my fourth attempt with Kodak Xtol. The previous three (all 5-liter batches purchased periodically over a two-year period) were made during the SinoPromise era, and in all three cases I ended up with woefully thin negatives. I was making myself go absolutely crazy over that stuff -- e.g., "Did I do something wrong?" "Is this just what negatives developed in Xtol look like?" On my third suspect batch, I wised up and bought some FP4+ test strips and confirmed it wasn't me. Giving Adox XT-3 a try was revelatory. Great developer.

Still, I can't help wanting to give the Kodak-branded stuff another shot. What I'm really looking forward to is the release of their E-6 kits. Jobo seems to have completely dropped the ball on importing its color chemistry into North America, so having kits made in the U.S. and (hopefully) regularly available will be a much-welcomed development.

Now... since we have the Photosys website up and ready to take order, someone MUST order the latest HC-110 and tell us what flavor of HC-110 it is!

I've had the watery HC-110 in a partially used bottle for a year and a half with no change in functionality. I'd might not last as long as the syrup version, but I think your "a week at the most" is way off.

what I have noticed is BOTH the Kodakbranded stuff from last year as well as the Legacy Pro L110 (although I guess we know know they are really th esame ting) BOTH develop mostly transparent crystals.

having used the stuff before I noticed the crystals, it if anything seemed slightly more active. would be nice to know if their is anything to minimize this effect.

yeah, mine grew some crystals too. I didn't do anything other than passing the HC-110 through a sieve (something that would be difficult with the syrup.) I didn't notice any increase in activity, but I wasn't doing any kind of controlled type of experement, so it would be hard to see.

Different developer, but isn't there a saying about Rodinal that it's not real Rodinal without a few crystals in the bottom?

Any news on flexicolor? I only see B&W.
