Whoever thinks that there are 32,000 people on APUG that will pay $50US to $100US a roll for Kodachrome, is [or are] just sniffing their own self released internal gases.
Sure we should be (we better should be) realists - but is it 100% total unrealistic to see a futureWe are realists.
Don't forget in your thoughs that it is much possible then, that Fuji isn't a player in this scenario - so no way with Velvia (relative low priced...That's like saying all the people who shoot film are like the couple thousand on this website. I'm not campaigning for its return either (nor against it), but you're just hearing from a small vocal minority.
$50 to $100 for a roll? The low end is only about four or five times a roll of Velvia. So, yeah, I would. But probably just as a matter of sheer morbid curiosity, and probably not more than once.
50 millions at least, and in Canada alone.
are you saying Canadian Photographers have left hands that don't know what their right hand is doing?
google gives the current Canadian Population as 36.29 Million, and compares it to California at 39.3 Million and Australia at 24.13 Million.
I imagine we can add another million or so Canadians who live in Los Angeles full time, but still that does not make for 50 million Kodachrome fans
sounds good !50 millions at least, and in Canada alone.

i guess big yellow killed it off before its time !
i wonder why the 50million kodachrome lovin' canadians weren't buying it before it was cancelled ?
i also find it weird that so many photographers would spend 50-300$ / roll on a roll of film considering
i often read about how kodak is overcharing for film, or people shoe string budgeting gear
or they won't even pony up like 6¢ / day for a subscription to photrio, or that a 2$ cup of coffee is too much !
not sure about you but i think most film photographers i know are cheaper than eugene krabbs !
maybe canadian photographers are free wheelin' and loaded !
Canadian photographers do not have an option about bringing back Kodachrome because they spend all their Saturday mornings in Canadian Tire stores or is it Canadien Tyres?
That's because you calculate in US, with the conversion rate we are almost 48 millions.
That's because of our natural excessive politeness, I'm afraid. When Canadians are facing a door, we all want to hold it for the others, and we end up going home because nobody want to be rude.
Canadian Tires are for Canadians what boxes are for cats.
Don't think big - just think bigger. So lets make the big yellow great again. I promise : There will be a great future and this people who are working at the big yellow are just wonderfull - I love them.I don’t understand... why can’t you folks just be happy shooting your New Ektachrome. Oh, maybe because...
I’m counting on your enthusiasm... and laughing at your humor!Don't think big - just think bigger. So lets make the big yellow great again. I promise : There will be a great future and this people who are working at the big yellow are just wonderfull - I love them.
By the way Fuji has sold their complete film making departements this morning
to a company in South Corea. Washington post is speculating in their tomorrow issue about the sister of Kim Yung who schall be in charge of this complete unknown company.
A case of breaking international embargo - if North Corean money possible is involved in this Fuji deal .....
