I think that's like saying "Oh Danny Boy" is an Irish song.

So Sile, what is it? Do Republican Irishmen wear kilts? Or is it just the Scotch-Irish that brought their heritage across the Irish Sea?

Inquiring Amuricans want to know.

Or was the kilt originally Irish?! And the bagpipes German (Dudelsack).

Steve.

Many centuries ago, in the dark ages, a ruthless but very musical king in Germania deported all Dudelsack enthusiasts to a place known as "the rainy island". One of them escaped and settled in France, his name was Cacofonix...

I have never known an Irish man to wear a kilt (and I really do thank God for that).. unless they had some Scots in them.. The Scottish on the other hand...

I was once in Rome with my sisters on a girls weekend when we happened upon Campo Di Fiori after a Scotland vs Italy rugby match.. Every time a girl/woman/female of any species walked past a Scots man.. he raised his kilt.. and there were a lot of men in a lot of kilts..

And no.. they really really don't ...

Thank you. My Irish American Heritage has been upheld.

Now where are the damned cameras?

Breaking news on CNN:

A guy with a white beard dressed in red has them - we are victims of Santa Cleptomania.

Who is actually in charge of interrogating someone in the post office?

They outsourced all of the interrogation jobs to India as well...
Interrogator: Hello, my name Radhakrishna, where is package?
Postal employee 1: I know nothing! I know nothing!
Interrogator: Thanks you for calling, have a nice day.
Postal employee 1: :whistling:

That was level one of the 'indian interrogation'.
Next level of outsourcing will be like this:

Interrogator: Hello, my name Radhakrishna, where is package?
Postal employee 1: I know nothing! I know nothing!
Interrogator: Thank you. You are fired. Have a nice day.
Postal employee 1: ::cry:

...all while postal employee #2 is loading his rifle and pulling the slide back to put a round in the chamber.

Pretty much. Back in the 1980's, there were some shootings that occured at some post office locations in California, if I remember correctly. Essentially, some postal workers went off their rockers and started shooting up the offices.

I have a OM-1n with a hearing aid battery that worked yesterday. What are the rules that nobody follows and I'll send it loaded with a roll of expired Plus-X with 30 frames remaining.

Amazing, I couldn't trade the camera and two lenses for 5 rolls of film, then I couldn't give it away. So I guess I could just mail it into oblivion. Or I'm going to drop kick it into the garbage and use some lens element to burn crawling creatures next spring.

Consider me "in" as long as these cameras keep going around too. I got a new smoker for Christmas, so I can bribe postal carriers with tasty yardbird to ensure safe delivery to my mailbox in the future.

Well I think we can safely say that this round is the absolute worst we have had yet. We managed to send two cameras around the world in opposite directions.. and lose both of them simultaneously...

Pretty impressive.

Do we want to go again??

I swear I need my head examined (for many reasons.. but that's besides the point).. I hereby declare cameras 7½(a) and 7½(b) officially opened.

Can I have a hands up from those in this thread who wish to carry on? The rules will be slightly different from the previous round in so much as cameras won't be sent anywhere until PM's have been exchanged and recorded delivery is going to be compulsory..

Whaddya think?

Oh, come one, it's so much fun... that's why you keep coming back

I'm in and I like the new rule. I'd also add that if tracking is possible (and reasonable ransom), it might be worthwhile to add on!
