Cameras 7a and 7b are ready to roll.. :D

Everything you need to know has been included in the envelope containing the cameras.. They begin their journey tomorrow morning and as outlined in the enclosed "instructions" when you receive the camera you MUST post in the thread to keep everyone up to date.

I was planning on starting a new thread specifically to follow the journey(s) and ask everyone if they could subscribe to it - that way updates would be easy to find and any changes easy to monitor.

If you would rather I didn't do this please let me know as soon as possible and I'll post updates in here instead..

Good luck everyone!

Keeping camera 7 to one thread would not be a bad thing.
I have no preferences one way or t'other.

Hmm. Maybe we Seattle participants should hand the camera around instead of mailing it. It would be a good excuse to meet more photographers in the area.

If it can be arranged Brian, I'd be happy to join in with that.

For that matter, we could all meet at a cafe in Anacortes and sit 'round a table taking pictures of each other.

Fred,

Now THAT is funny. Sile and I could do that but I assure you... it would not be a cafe.

Methinks *cafe* means different things in different parts of the world, I have a friend, married in Holland, his wife is running a cafe.......

It could get a lot of funny pictures though!

The cameras went on their merry way early this morning and now I'm dying to see if it hits home in Germany or Canada first! The general consensus seems to be to leave the camera thread going in here.. so here it will stay. Those of you who haven't subscribed to the thread yet.. may just want to so you can keep up to date.

Now as for this coffee business... When I looked up Café on Urban dictionary I got very scared.. There I was..naively thinking it was just a place for coffee! And Tim I reckon when we get together for that coffee.. it'll be Guinness .. none of that namby pamby coffee stuff!

p.s. I knew there'd be trouble from that gang in Western US.... sitting round the table snapping pics of one another indeed!!

That's what teenagers do with their mobile phones.... then they have to show each other what they all looked like three seconds ago.

I used to have a t-shirt (or sweatshirt, I'm too old to remember these details) that proclaimed

Guinness
Gaelic for Genius

But then I discovered Belgian ales, and all was lost.

The last thing I want is to be on film. Thats what got me started with cameras in the first place; if I was taking the family pictures, I wasn't in them.

Leg, Le'gay, Leggy, I've heard darn near everything that can be done with my name. I totally consent to any use of humor people can get out of it.

[ps. my wife's maiden name was 'Gray'. The modern/hyphenated name, Gray-Legge, would have been been terrible yet awesome]
