Nice shot, I like that.
So that's where the WTC architect took his inspiration from, huh?

The big cathedral in Florence, the one with the dome and the octagonal baptism chapel in front of it?
We visited so many places that I was overwhelmed and don’t recall all…![]()
It's that one alright. Last time I visited was in 2015. By then, it was already so overrun with tourists that my wife and I decided we wouldn't go there again. We occasionally still fall into the tourist traps from time to time (e.g. San Gimignano and Cinque Terre last year, although ahead of the really big crowds), but the result is generally the same. Pretty places, but they always remind us of other places that are less crowded and as a result a lot more fun to visit. We visited so many places that I was overwhelmed and don’t recall all…![]()

Looks like it hasn't changed much in a decade, give or take some scaffolding.
To think that an iPhone goes out of fashion after a year, eh!
I still have my iPhone 13 Pro Max and don’t see any need for an upgrade…![]()
I just retired my iPhone 6s.
Whether I needed to or not!
I would verge on needed to retire the 6s…![]()
No reason to do so if the battery is still good, and the physical wear isn't a problem.
The old phone still worked well as a phone, and worked well enough in the rare situation that I needed to send or receive a text.
Those are essentially all I use a cel phone for - that and the odd record shot with the camera.
The same analysis applies to cameras. If you get what you want and need from an older model, and it continues to work well, it will be counter-productive to replace it with something new.
My most successful travel camera was an Olympus OM-1.
The only problem with the older iPhone models is they can’t be updated anymore…![]()
Same applies to almost every camera I own.
Cameras usually work offline. On phones, no updates means security issues.
