Amongst a bunch of flanges and some lens boards I acquired to day there's one I can't quickly identify. It's 82mm x 74mm and slightly recessed, drilled for a #00 shutter, it's aluminium. D\oes this sound like it's for the older small Linhofs and if so what models.

I think the Tech 70 lensboard is the same as the current Tech V 2x3 lensboard, which is 82x74mm. They're usually black or may have the tan hammertone finish of the 1970s, and there is a raised circular light trap on the back. Also on the back there should be three raised machined points to assure parallelism with the film plane.

I think the 2x3" lensboards of the Tech III era are slightly smaller and are usually silver colored, and if I'm not mistaken, the light trap is recessed rather than raised, but I'm not positive about that.

Thanks, it reminded me of the Linhof badged board that came with my 65mm f8 Super Angulon, Compur #00 shutter, 25+ years ago. I think it's possibly a third party board the front is just brushed aluminium although it's possible the front paint has been stripped off. I guess I'll photograph it and sell it, pass it on to someone who can use it.
