Is there a way to get a similar image that a 4x5 with meniscus lens produces, but on 35mm?

Haha, the ubiquitous IKEA Expedit! We have one, too. I love the icons on top of it!

Looking forward to the images you'll make with this new lens.

We have 2, I have half my life in them. Icons made by mother in law.

I'm just back from shooting the test roll on Rollei RPX 25, of some old trees by an orphanage, may have the pictures ready tomorrow.

This was my favorite shot from the first test roll, which was all shot at f/3.5. I'll have to try f/5.6 next time as the effect is very strong. The accompanying iPhone shot beside it for reference. Focus is roughly around 3 meters.

You got it!

There's no way to know ahead of time what aperture will work best with any particular subject.

Your black & white test shot is way more interesting and pretty than your phone shot.

A couple more from the test roll.
