Hello 🙂

is there a way to remove the shoulder strap ?

what i really don't like is that aluminium ring there that give me the impression that could scratch the body !

i would like to replace it with something more modern and soft...but i can't find a way to remove that metal ring from there !

It might help if you specify which Bronica camera that is. I'm guessing it is one of the Bronica 645 models, but I'm far from sure. I'll update your thread title to at least add a reference to Bronica.

Which model? Have you tried finding a user manual? That usually describes the installation and removal of the neck strap.

It's an ETR (see the OP's other thread). There's nothing camera specific here. Is the strap a Bronica strap? It is likely that the ring is steel, not aluminum. I can't tell if it is a split ring or something else, but it is likely that the secret to opening it is hidden by the fabric and plastic strap cinch.

Anyway, I don't think worrying about scratching the camera with the strap is particularly important. Virtually all straps designed to fit into that kind of camera lug with a hole use a metal (typically steel) ring, because that's what is strong enough.

From appearances, the strap in question is a standard Bronica strap. The metal ring is a U-shape ring with an opening. Simply unthread the end of the strap trom the plastic path of the plastic ring cover and you will see the opening in the U-shape ring! See p.24 in this manual

Feed the strap out first, then the metal ring separates from the plastic and can be removed from the camera.

To my amazement, I have a strap in its original package! (I use a tripod.)
