I have experience with Foma's version of Rodinal, known as 'Fomadon R09', and with Adox Rodinal.
I use both at 1+50 dilution exclusively, standard agitation, and with 120 film only. I mostly use them with Foma's own film. I've use the Fomadon R09 in the past mostly, and I use the Adox version currently.
My Adox Rodinal bottle has been opened for almost 2 years - I'm halfway through, and so I far I have not noticed issues with its performance. Someone above commented that they experienced sudden death after 4 years, which is useful to know, as I think I will have to start being careful if I decide to keep on going with this bottle.
One anecdotal observation: I notice *subtle* differences between the results I was getting with Fomadon R09 and Adox Rodinal. Big caveat (so take what I'm about to say with a pinch of salt): I have never done proper testing by e.g. splitting an exposed roll with the same scene in two and developing one strip in R09 and one in Adox Rodinal. Therefore, I cannot exclude that what I'm seeing is due to batch variation in the film used and other confounders. However: having basically translated processing times and techniques from my Fomadon R09 notes to Adox Rodinal, I detected slightly 'hotter' highlights in the negative for scenes of comparable contrast. It's almost as if Adox Rodinal is ever so slightly more 'energic', so to say, whereas the Foma one appears to be 'gentler', for the lack of a better word. I read somewhere that the two products are based on slightly different formulas, due to to copyright reasons: whereas Adox is using the license of the latest version of Rodinal manufactured by Agfa, my understanding is that the R09 products might be using older recipes. Again, I have not conducted proper testing on this.
Either way, I do not think I will keep using Adox Rodinal when the bottle goes. I see no particular advantages over the Fomadon, and the Fomadon comes in smaller bottles that, at my current pace, I can empty after a few weeks.
