Is it true about re-issue of the Nikon F2AS this summer. Fantastic!

a reissue of the original F, but with a matrix meter, hinge back, SWM focus capability, Ai-S tab, and aperture priority, would be fucking amazing.

pair it with a 35/50/85 set of f/1.4 lenses that have the optics from the "G" lenses but in manual Ai-S legacy styled barrels with aperture rings.

It's not fun! A Nikon F with AI tab, matrix and aperture priority mode. Simply not fun.

Buy a user F2 DE-1 series E 5cm and some Trix and be happy. Or even some Double-X.

Fs have horrible mirror bounce.

Seriously I understand from something I read online recently that Canon will still make the New F1 to special order, if that is true God knows what the price would be.
