Rapid Rectilinear....I like that name....a much more desirable name to have than say,....Plasmat....I wonder if Matt could design a Rapid Rectilinear tee shirt...

"Simple Meniscus"....is a good name for a cartoon character strip also....I d read that one, yep I'd buy that...A "Rapid Rectilinear" Tee shirt and a "Simple Meniscus" tee shirt... :D

Yep, me too! Is there such a thing as a complex meniscus?

Well Vell-oh___ stigmat oh Vell-oh____ stigmat, it's so nice to have you back where you belong__ :surprised:

If you guys form an RR association, do let me know. I have one which looks to be an RR but might be masquerading as an anastigmat :D

I think I'll wait for the International Aplanat Association - or would that be the "Internationale Aplanatverwendervereinigung"? If so, maybe the IRRA would be easier. At least the spelling is easier

Perhaps not, but among APUGers there must be many meniscus complexes!
You make me feel like a rank Amatar.

I am glad I am not the artar of that nonsense. Whether a lens is planar fancy, I listen with Raptar attention when the Radiogon is turned to the station I prefer. I'd better stop before someone goes "Ektar."

You're setting your sights too low, Dave. It should be "Galactic" not "International".

Think about it. How many were made versus how many are still around. They had to go somewhere!

Okay, so that's IRRA. I suppose the resultant images should be shared with the Truly Amazing and Totally Interesting Negatives Group?

What's next?

The Anastigmat Association? The Tessar Club? The Plasmat Group? The Biogon Bunch?

Well, Dan, in your case it should be the Boyer Chapter - to which I hope to contribute soon as we are planning to finally try out the two Beryls that have been lying in waiting...

Why not Intergalactic Rapid Rectilinear Association - that would still be IRRA. Now, come to think of it, we're entering Vogon territory here...

I want at least 2 of these...the shirts that is.
