Better is subjective.

Glasses have physical properties. Glasses don't have imaging qualities by themselves. Lenses designed with the glasses have imaging qualities, some of which are aesthetically subjective when used to make photographs. I mean one could measure something like undercorrected spherical aberration, so its existence is not subjective, but whether it's good or bad in pictorial use is subjective. But glasses by themselves don't have this property.
