Is there any statistical data to estimate the number of chemical images taken since the discovery of photography compared with an estimate of the number of digital images taken since the advent of digital photography? The reason I ask, is because it may make us value what chemical images have achieved to date, despite its minor role in terms of numbers. But perhaps such stats are not that meaningful. Any thoughts on this?
