Take them anyway. If you try to obey every law the progressives make, you'd be a house plant.

I was going to say the same thing about the conservatives! Today's wantabe conservatives who interpret the Constitution their own way; not the real Conservatives like Barry Goldwater and Ev Dirksen who intelligently thought through their ideas and beliefs.

Here's a bit of fun and please don't hold back with the comments. This is the very same kit and clothing worn by myself on that fateful day in July. Heck, I think even my expression is the same.

Simple question. Keen Photographer or Pervert?

But on that fateful day, did you have a tele lens in your front pocket?!

I recall that another photographer in the UK was in a public garden, photographing close ups of the blooms in the garden, and a passing woman accused him of "photographing my bum". Fortunately for this guy, he was using a digital camera, so he could readily prove there was no bum among the blooms. Remember, you live in the birthplace of Victorian values (and apparently hypocritical treatment of sexual themes)...the lady might have gone home and jumped her husband's bones afterward!

She was probably fat and had an ugly bum ... it's usually the insecure ugly ones who always seem to get "offended" it's probably a mixture of their own insecurities, and the fact the attractive ones either like the attention, or are used to it and ignore it...

Nice niche to get into...

So to speak...

Hahaha I'm a professional... I've only slept with one of my subjects and she was my ex and I slept with her months BEFORE the pictures were taken. (Yea yea, even after we broke up she still wanted to pose for me, crazy right? I was glad, she was beautiful).

Please tell me you don't draw eyes on them, brush on eye shadow, lipstick, a pair of sunglasses and a cigarette?

Suddenly my life seems very dull...

haha no thank you, I don't really like lipstick on their normal lips let alone the special ones.

No this is a project about the beauty of the male and female form (yes that means penises too). People are always so insecure about their intimate parts, its too big, to small, to funny looking, etc, so I'm shooting to show that all types can be beautiful, mostly high key light, soft but slightly blown out, B&W, etc. We'll see who's brave enough to publish it someday...

Haha, but at least you can support yourself, because it's art and not pornographic, I'm not selling the images individually or anything (because I'm sure people would buy them at high prices) because I respect my models and want them to be seen in the light I intend which is beauty and art, not perversion, so, for now, not many have seen them. One of my models insisted I print one for her because she wanted to see it on paper and she exclaimed "OH it's so beautiful!!! thank you Stone!!!" over the phone when she got my mail. It was nice, she was a friend though not a random person, so who knows how much she was making me feel good over appreciating the work, but I'm sure she did like it.

Dude, that is judgmental, rude and, like most sweeping generalizations, surely inaccurate. I find it interesting to read ugly words like that from someone defending the rights of photographers to be viewed with respect and without prejudice.

There are a lot of women who don't want to be treated as a piece of meat, actually. Even attractive ones, as you'd put it. Comments like this offer a hint about why people might be sensitive to having their photos taken by strangers. Respect for the feelings of others can be shown in a lot of ways -- as can its opposite.

that is about as lame and pathetic as it gets ...

btw: stone to be shooting your subject professionally you need to be selling your work ...
shooting and having a collection of genitalia photographs doesn't mean you are a professional ..
did you see 8mm? there is a market for this sort of stuff ... or so it seems ...

Oh if that's the case then I'm a perv too cause I mostly shoot vaginas in film...

Yeah I don't talk too much in here about the Mapplethorpe influence on some of my work. But there is definitely some of it (not on Flickr). It can get interesting when genres meet.

Definitely pervert, judging by the obvious guilty refusal to meet the camera's lens eye-to-eye. And while this person is obviously hiding behind something, it's not a sense of fashion.

Ken

Apologies, I can be a bit slow sometimes. It finally twigged what you were talking about.

With the photo', I was trying to create a sense of action, as in 'this is me on the street, passively looking for the next opportunity to trip the shutter'.

Usually if nothing is in the offing, the camera will be in my right hand at my side.

I never follow fashion. For a start it changes to frequently so would cost a fortune to keep pace. Further, fashion followers (of all areas, not just clothes) display a complete lack of individuality or original thought and harbour a painful fear of alienation by their peers.

Besides, I've always worn jeans and t-shirts.

And here I was thinking your posts couldn't get any more sophomoric.

Well I've told the models that the images I take will be in book form and only sold as individual pieces alongside the published book, which is not complete.

I do sell other nude images and belong to a site where nude models sell their striptease sets (topless only) where we share the (small) profit of the images shot.

As for my other comment, well, I'm just honest about my perspective, I didn't say that all attractive women appreciated the attention I said they were used to it so they wouldn't react as strongly as someone who wasn't used to it.

Anyway it was a generalization based on my own experience. And my experience has been that the only people who don't like me taking their picture when I'm out on the street are unattractive or heavier people. It's just being honest with my experiences, sorry that's juvenile, but it's a pattern I recognized. Perhaps being honest isn't something everyone is ready for

Actually, What Stone has said in this quote is some rather hard truth. That is, in 2013, it is a pretty safe presumption that any particular woman is most likely to be overweight, as most are. And the pretty ones are so rare that they tend to be hardened of heart from the amount of attention they receive. And let photography itself from past eras lend testimony that people in general have become slovenly in attire and appearance in latter years. As for me, I never cared for photographing nudity, never sought the opportunity to do it, and wouldn't if I could. The only bone I might pick with Stone would be the photography of tattoos. A girl with a tattoo is the best cure for a Viagra overdose that I can think of.
I guess my point here is a repetition of an earlier post of mine in this thread. My kingdom for a time machine.

I think he keeps things fresh, man. Say I the senior about the junior member. He just needs to be schooled a bit.

Thanks Tom,

I appreciate that someone can hear what I said and not be offended and partially agree. Thanks Tom.

And yes most of the girls I photograph naked have tattoo's somewhere, it's often just that those are the more adventurous girls and the ones most interested in being nude. I don't personally like tattoo's on a mate, but I appreciate the art on a model and do my best to use it as part of their personal embellishments.

I know my mother often comments that she hates the tattoos of the women I photograph more than the knowledge that they may be nude. Generational perspective I suppose.
