Dear Kevin,

If you come from Australia.....you will most certainly be allowed to join the tour, I am sure no Apuggers would object...

Regards

Simon.

Dear Simon,
Thanks very much. I just need to check on whether or not I can make it work, and I will let you know.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Simon
You couldn't have picked a worse week for the factory visit for those of us in education. It is the first week of the university term. I'm a photography technician and it's full on from the first day. If you run one next year could you please hold it in June/July, I would love to come then. I hope it goes well.
regards
Alex

Dear Alex,

I think we are fully booked for 08 anyway but the first two tours ( 06 and 07 ) were both in June...I will take your point for 09 :

Somebody asked if they could see a coating being done on glass on this tour... I can confirm that we will be doing this on our tour, in the light obviously ...and seeing our own in house monochrome process and print service...as to the video...we will have to decide whats best to do.

Regards

Sorry for double posting...

Is anyone driving up from London in afternoon on the 2nd?
Public transportation options are not looking all that attractive...

Can anyone recommend accomodation near Mobberly for the Thursday night?
I'll be driving so access to public transport is not an issue.

Anyone?

Fintan, I'm flying back from Turkey 3 days before and was going to find a hotel room nearby for the Thursday night myself, it might be an idea if a few of us are staying to find a common hotel. I know the area quite well so I'll look tomorrow (2 hrs ahead of you here). PM sent.

Received the final details from Dianne by email this morning, and looking forward to the day.

Question for Simon, please...are we allowed to take photos during our visit?

You'll find a few more of us there too :D The Windmill pub serves food etc and is the other side of the Motorway Junction.

I PM'ed Simon Galley last night to say if anyone asks him there are still rooms available and a few of us staying there. May be the Celts will outnumber the rest

I'm taking the liberty of re-phrasing Ray's request.

Is any who is driving up the day before the factory visit able give Ray a lift from Heathrow Airport late Thursday afternoon after about 4:30pm ?

I think he'd greatly appreciate any help, as he faces another 6-8 hours travelling by train, with all the waiting for connection after an already long flight.

if he can get to derby that night I might be able to put him up for the night and drive in the next morning. That said its not the easiest of train journeys to here.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it. I'll be in Europe next week, but if I went to the Ilford tour it would mean an extra few days away from home. Thanks again for the offer, Simon, and I'll try to make it another year.

OT Trojan-clicker.Win32.Tiny.h infection

OT but I need your help.

While online getting the bugs worked out of next weeks plans, I seem to have been visited by a one Trojan-clicker.win32.Tiny.h

I switched to a different computer, but do not know anything about this little guy and when I look up info on it I get lots of other unknown (to me )software that would just love to get into my computer.

Anyone know this guy and know a safe, free and easy way to get him out of my hair?

All suggestions needed.

Anyone need a room for Thursday night?

The three of us coming over from Ireland managed to book an extra room by mistake (well actually it was Sile :rolleyes:smile: so if anyone needs accommodation for Thursday night, please let me know and you can use ours. We are staying in the Travelodge, Knutsford and the room cost £29.

Well there does not seem to be much help comming in on this...
I still have limited and dubious info, but to sort of close up this OT side thread
let me briefly sum up the known details.
This virus comes in on a presumably fake UPS (United Postal Service) e-mail.
It seems to take over the desktop as a screensaver might and reminds me of one After Dark Module I had on an old Mac years ago, "BAD DOG!"

I have read, but trust no one,
that Panda Labs ID'd it as the Trojan "Agent JEN"

It may be a new variant; one person said only 5 out of 30 protection software could even spot it as being suspect, much less ID it correctly.
A Japanese speaking Chinese Symantec (Norton AntiVIrus) rep told me they could not help... but perhaps another company might!

I know nothing about this stuff. Just in case anyone else gets this "United Postal Service" mail... do not open it unless you know what you are doing.

Ok no more OT posts... I promise!

So Let's get on with the show and have a nice trip!

You can see the factory on Google earth as well, just search for Town lane Mobberly.

As an FYI its Mobberley

Also...be prepared ! we will all be wearing jeans as its 'Jeans for Genes' day in the UK this friday and its a charity we and our staff support, everyone who comes in Jeans has to give up a £ 1.00 for the cause...many apologies in advance for looking at over 50 males in Levi's... I would also suggest you bring something waterproof....the weather forecast is for dry but cloudy on Friday...but do you trust them ?
