As promised, we have pleasure in supplying the information regarding the 2009ILFORD ULF Film special make :

Below you will find the products, the item numbers, the timings and our reseller partners.

Prices are the same as per our 2008 ULF make, further pricing details will be available from our reseller partners in due course :

As previously, as long as we receive an order for any of the items below we will manufacture it : NO MINIMUM orders from ILFORD Photo / HARMAN technology Limited will be imposed :

TIMINGS :

Please place your order with your chosen reseller by the end of May : Saturday 30th May at the latest :

Your resellers will place their final consolidated order on our US or Canadian distributors by close of business on Wednesday 3rd June :

Our US and Canadian distributors will place their order in turn on ILFORD Photo / HARMAN technology Limited by Friday 5th June :

The product will be manufactured by Tuesday 30th June and shipped ( by sea ) to our distributors Week 28 : Monday 6th July onward : We would then expect the goods to arrive at our distributors in early August, we would expect shipment out to our reseller partners approximately Week 33 : Monday 10th August.

Obviously for our UK reseller partners we would expect shipment out from them Week 29 : Monday 13th July.

A couple of questions:

• You've included 5x7 FP4 Plus and HP5 Plus in the above list. Yet the March 2009 Product Availability List shows both as "STOCK WW." Which is correct?
• 11x14 HP5 Plus is included in the above list, consistent with its "NONSTOCK WW" status in the March 2009 Product Availability List. However, dealer statements have been posted here claiming that 11x14 HP5 Plus can be ordered from Wynit stock for immediate delivery. Which is correct? I would not want to place an 11x14 HP5 Plus order through this program only to receive short-dated film from an earlier make, perhaps even older than when Ilford/HARMAN changed that item from its previous "STOCK WW" to "NONSTOCK WW" status a few years ago.

Hi Simon,

I've gotten quite good at special ordering and cutting down 13x18cm Delta 100 to fit 5x7 inch holders, but would rather not. Could you please alternate and offer Delta 100 & 400 in one year, then FP4+ and HP5+ in the following year? This would give us all a broader range of tools. Thanks!

No, Delta 100/400 doesn't replace the FP4/HP5 for ULF users.....you should try to get something going outside this special order....

Dear Thomas, Thanks for sorting out the list in a very neat and efficient manner, clearly it is beyond me !

Sal: I put in some sheet items that are Stock / or non Stock Items that have an item number as some people may not be aware they available, as to some items held in US stock, a very limited number of ULF items have indeed been held in US stock, but dating is NOT an issue, mono sheet film has 5 years on it, is stored under optimum conditions and therefore is absolutely fine to order and use.

As to alternating ULF films with DELTA 100 ( we do not coat DELTA 400 onto sheet film base): Please remember we are very happy to offer these items as a service to the ULF community, but we must keep our costs as low as possible, as these are SPECIAL make with high waste and cost, to move to another film would mean duplicating all the item set up, changing prices, changing all the computer records through the supply chain.

I'm adding this information not to confuse anyone but I thought people should know.

If you order film from a reseller and they already have that item in stock.... I'm sure they plan to ship their "In-stock" right-a-way and not wait for the film run. I know I plan to.

I have "In-stock" 4x10, WP, 8x20, 7x17... and of course 5x7, 8x10 and 4x5, since I try and keep these items in stock at all times. I'm sure other suppliers have many of these items in stock as well as we try and look after our clients.

So yes I'm very happy to be part of the Ilford solution in Canada and offer the full range of products on this run.... but many of these special order items have become regular stock items in efforts to look after clients wants.

I have a customer that shoots a lot of FP4+ 5x12. Ilford USA has 18 boxes in stock right now and our customer is thinking of buying all of them. His question is, will there be stock in the US if he needs more before the 2010 run. In other words, if there are FP4+ 5x12 orders now, is Ilford manufacturing just what's ordered or will they do a full run and warehouse the balance?

Hi Simon,

I'm a reseller of Ilford products here in the US and have been trying to get the sheet on this from the distributor, so far to no avail. The representative I used to deal with there is now gone and the new one hasn't been able to put his finger on it for me. Has this been sent to them yet, or should I remain patient. I certainly don't want to miss the deadline.

I have a question similar to Bill's, I've checked with two of the retailers on the list about doing an order, and both have responded that they don't have the information they need from Ilford for actually making the orders.
Like Bill, I don't want to miss the deadline, any information on when the retailers will have what they need to accept orders?

Dear all,

ULF is not held in stock by the US or Canadian distributors, nor do we expect them to hold it : So if an order is supplied (from stock) you could not expect it to be re-stocked before the next ULF run.

All our ULF partners should have the information they need.

I just got off the phone with Jordan at the distributor here in the US and he says they are still awaiting the information from Ilford. Maybe there is some mix-up. He said they won't have it until the start of May?

I placed an order for a box of 7x17" through silverprint this morning but they said its not definate, only if enough people go for it. Is there a way of getting in on this and ordering directly from ilford? I don't know how this quite works.
