Realising the Adox paper emulsion is coated onto a slightly whiter base compared to the ILFORD branded product, I made a comparison between the two papers. Before toning the papers look very similar using ID-78 paper developer, however, the Adox product appeared to tone more dramatically in KRST diluted 1:19, after 6 minutes. I'm willing to consider this as a fluke though, assuming Adox Premium Variotone and Multigrade Warmtone share the same emulsion; or perhaps Harman have created a new emulsion for Adox, although that seems like a lot of R&D.

Any thoughts?
